Snow in the Mountains

Hi All,  the sky is threatening us with snow, but nothing yet. Temps have been all over the place...50s one day, and now low 30s! No wonder so many are sick! Be sure to wash your hands frequently and stay away from large crowds. I had bronchitis and it took 5 weeks and 3 antibiotics to get thru it!

Looks like the first phase of the casino won't be opening until 2015 now. The up side is there is still time to get in and buy a vacation cabin. I really do believe we are going to have a shortage of vacation rental properties. The sooner you invest, the better the price! I have several properties that would make awesome vacation rentals. Contact me (828-342-5616) and we can discuss.

On another note, don't forget the folk school has events and civilities all hear long. Here's a link to their site:  https://folkschool.org/index.php?section=event_list

Until next time.......

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Hi All, hope everyone has been well and staying warm! Seems the weather has cooled down all across the country. They've been threatening us with snow, but haven't seen any at our elevation yet. I read an article this morning that said the mortgage industry was going to see a shift in 2014 from refinances to first home purchases. That's great for real estate! They expect a strong market, too. I've already started seeing an increase this year, and am looking forward to a great 2014. On another note, there are some things happening in the area. Following is a link to the folk school with their happenings for December: https://blog.folkschool.org/2013/11/14/john-c-campbell-folk-school-featured-craft-americas-holiday-episode-pbs/ Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!
