JOHN C CAMPBELL FOLK SCHOOL FALL FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND!

It's that time of year again!!! I am so excited to share the information on the upcoming local festival that is always great! Come experience a taste of the mountains at this weekend's Fall Festival. Here's from the Folk School:

Come enjoy the beautiful fall season with us. The cooler weather and changing leaves inspire many outdoor activities, including our 43rd Fall Festival on October 7 & 8. Our wonderful craft, music, dance, and cooking classes will awaken your creativity. As a full-time local resident, you always receive 50% off tuition rates on a stand-by basis. We also offer Opportunities for Locals. We look forward to seeing you soon!
43rd Annual Fall Festival: October 7 & 8
Celebrate our rich Appalachian heritage at Fall Festival. Browse over 250 fine craft vendors, each showcasing their work for sale. View the stunning Quilt and Visual Arts Shows, and enjoy over 30 craft demonstrations. Watch musicians and dancers grace two stages with lively performances. Children will love the kids' activities, and the entire family will savor delicious Festival food! 

Join us October 7 & 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily admission: $5 for adults, $3 for ages 12-17, and free for children under 12.
Blacksmith & Fine Craft Auction: November 4
Excitement is building for our upcoming Blacksmith & Fine Craft Auction. Our annual event will be held in the Keith House on Saturday, November 4 from 1-4 p.m. The Auction will feature amazing art from our Resident Artists, instructors, students, and Folk School friends.
The Live Auction features skilled auctioneers Tim Ryan and Bob Grove, who delight in entertaining the audience while showcasing each striking auction piece. This rewarding afternoon brings our dedicated supporters together to celebrate a love of fine crafts and the Folk School's mission. This Auction helps guarantee that the School will remain a treasured haven for artists' creativity and growth.
This free event is open to the public.

WHAT DO THE FOLK SCHOOL AND EBAY HAVE IN COMMON?

Looks like the John C. Campbell Folk School is taking advantage of eBay to sell some of their finely crafted goods! They are having a Gala & Benefit Live Auction, coming up this Saturday, May 30 from 5-8. Other items will be auctioned over the next few days. Here's a link that explains it and where to go:

Folk School Fall Festival

Where does the time go? Even my nine year old said to me the other day, "Mom, this year sure has gone by fast!" Boy is he right!! Seems Fall is here...the nights have cooled off, and our daytime temps have been wonderful this summer!!! Don't know that I'm ready for Fall yet as Summer has been so nice! But, one bright spot is the John C. Campbell Folk School's Fall Festival is just around the corner!! Here's a link to the event:
